The Springs Shopping Centre launches a campaign to encourage people of Buxton to take control of their health and wellbeing
Efforts to improve awareness of health and wellbeing services in Buxton are being taken by The Springs by hosting a two week ‘Health is Happiness’ campaign.
The Springs Shopping Centre has partnered with several organisations on the ‘Health is Happiness’ campaign, each organisation will be on site to offer a wide range of information to shoppers covering subjects from physical health, mental health and staying safe in the community.
The campaign, which will run from April 15th to April 26th, aims to encourage people to take more control of their own health and wellbeing through free support and advice sessions to also help tackle the rising issue of people suffering in silence.
We encourage everyone to come down and visit the organisations and learn about all the options and services that are available in our local community.
Each organisation will be in the centre between 11am – 3pm and a full schedule will soon follow.
Carlon Stewart, centre manager, said: “Health and happiness is such an important aspect of life and we feel it’s important for people to know what services are out there to help you, with whatever issue you may have.
“Seeking help from health care professionals can often be a very daunting experience for some and these casual drop-in sessions make advice and support a lot more accessible.
“Whether you want help quitting smoking or you are looking for information on mental health services we are covering a range of issues, so I would encourage anyone looking to take charge of their health and wellbeing in 2019 to come along to take a look at the schedule on our website and then come down to the sessions.”
